Our story
Founded in 1907 by local undertakers and cabinetmakers Joe Trappold and Harry Lester, Lester & Son has been part of the Albury Wodonga community for over a century.
A legacy of 100 years and counting
During its early years, Lester & Son quickly became known for its compassionate funeral services, skilled craftsmanship and strong local ties. The Lester family built a reputation for service and community involvement that continues to shape who we are today.

Supporting families on both sides of the border
A purpose-built funeral home opened in North Albury in 2002, followed by a second location in Wodonga in 2015 – allowing us to support families in both NSW and VIC.

In 2018, Lester & Son became part of the InvoCare group, strengthening our ability to support families while continuing our long-standing local traditions.
